View Full Version : Gun Mettle Update - UGC matches should proceed as usual

Dear players,

earlier today, Valve released the Gun Mettle Update (http://www.teamfortress.com/gunmettle/), a major update that contained a series of fixes and improvements for the game.

After analysis of the elements at our disposal, we are confirming that this week's matches should proceed as usual. Additionally, no whitelist update is planned until next season. Please check this thread (http://www.ugcleague.net/forum/showthread.php?37643-HL-Season-16-Update-League-changes-from-the-Gun-Mettle-update) for information regarding Weapons & Medigun pickups bans.

We have tested and confirmed a bug reported by the community which affects our configs with a set timelimit (ugc_hl_standard, ugc_6v_standard, ugc_4v_standard). The bug is the following:

For configs with a set timelimit, match timers are not reset at the start of a half. In other words, pre-game time counts towards the 30-minute time limit.

Valve has released a patch that included bug fixes earlier tonight and it is reported that another patch should come out tomorrow. If this bug remains unfixed, this week's 6v6 and 4v4 could be slightly affected. To minimize its impacts, we recommend that server operators reload the map before each half start, when both teams are ready to play, and start the rounds immediately upon server reload.

We will pay close attention to any situation that might arise in the upcoming days and will keep you updated if necessary. Please keep an eye on any Forum Announcement or League News.
